I am physics faculty at Texas State University where we have recently started a Learning Assistant Program, in part to encourage and support a more engaged community of physics majors. I am studying LAs' development of physics identity, using two theoretical frameworks: Lave & Wenger's Communities of Practice theory, and the framework for physics identity developed by Hazari et al.
